What were you trying to do in Retopoflow when this happened?

just run retopo flow4

Mesh select -> mesh -> retopoflow from active

I believe I've fixed this issue in commit d295ddb (^^), but it might be a little while before this update goes out.

While you wait, here is a workaround that should allow you to use Retopoflow...

1. Start Blender
2. Edit > Preferences
3. Click Keymap
4. in search at top, enter shortest
5. Under Mesh, you should see Pick Shortest Path (may be in there multiple times). click the expand arrow just to the left of Pick Shortest Path
6. the Fill Region will be faded and you should not see an X to the right of Fill Region (this is the cause of the bug in RF 4.1.9)
7. click the checkbox just to the left of Fill Region to enable this property, making the property unfaded and the X will appear on the right.
8. Then, click the Fill Region checkbox again to disable the property, but leave it unfaded with the X. (the default value of this is False, but the bug in RF 4.1.9 expects there to be a value)
9. Save your preferences
10. Now you should be able to start Retopoflow without any issue.
