Why destroy after webhook save?

i did add pay gem for stripe subscription with webhook and testing now.

Log shown webhook insert sql when called stripe trigger {EVENT_NAME}, but there is not shown destroy sql.

i read all readme in doc dir at this github repo, and finally I did found about that Pay::Webhook.process! will be call destroy.

is there option of turn off for webhook destroy?
Why destroy after webhook save?
i meaning that webhook row will be destroy but why insert webhook?

Webhooks are stored in the database to support high volumes (like Black Friday) and be resilient to your application or background jobs failing. They are deleted after they are processed successfully.
